Russian brewery Yarpivo has announced that it had registered a 22% boost in sales volume up to 350 million Russian roubles (approximately US$ 11 million) for the first month of the current year if compared to the same period on the previous year – 286.759 million roubles. In January 2003 Yarpivo has sold about 3.3 million dekalitres of beer – 6% up against 3.1 million dekalitres sold in January 2002.

Yarpivo has sold 47 million dekalitres of beer in 2002 – 34% up against the same figures of the previous year. It has registered a net profit of about US$ 42 million for 2002 – 7.7% up against the last year net profit of about US$39 million. Yarpivo paid about US$ 52 million taxes in 2002, what is 78% up from the 2001 year when the company paid US$ 32 million taxes.

The company plans to raise its output in 2003 by 30%, producing 60 million dekalitres of beer.
