World: Kasper Madsen to step down as Viking Malt CEO
Kasper Madsen is planning to step down as Viking Malt CEO, the company announced on January 30.
“I have now been the CEO of Viking Malt for almost 9 years. This is much longer than originally planned, but it has been fantastic to lead Viking Malt,” Madsen said.
“So, the Board and I have reached an agreement. This year will be the year when I begin to focus on other important things in life, and Viking Malt will start looking for the next captain at the helm. I feel the timing is right both for myself and for the company to make a shift. This allows me to start a new chapter in my personal life and gives room for fresh leadership perspectives for the strong and capable team at Viking Malt.
“I will continue as CEO and will execute our strategy and solid business plans with energy and passion, since I still love my job, the company, the industry and most of all – my colleagues.
“I will officially step down when the Board has found a suitable replacement to take the strong and robust ship of Viking Malt into the future, while I will still advice our main shareholder and Polttimo for some time ahead.”
Pär-Gustaf Relander, Chairman, said the company would now begin the process of finding Kasper’s successor.
