USA, OK: 405 Brewing Co. to close for good on November 2
Brewery news

405 Brewing Co., Norman’s first production brewery, will be closing on Sunday, November 2 after 11 years of serving residents, OU Daily reported on October 27.

Founded by lifelong best friends and Norman locals Trae Carson and Jonathan Stapleton, who started brewing beer from home, the business has since flourished. 405 beers are on tap at multiple Oklahoma breweries.

Known for experimental drinks, hosting community events and pop-ups at local festivals, 405 Brewing Co. is well-known and loved around Norman, winning the “Bar/Brewery,” category in OU Daily’s 2025 Best of Norman.

Recurring events at 405 Brewing Co. included book club meetings, Winterfest and Oktoberfest events and Hops & Hobbies, which blends beers and crafting.

The closure was announced on 405 Brewing Co.’s Instagram, thanking local contributors for their support.

This comes alongside other recent Main Street closures, including flower shop and vintage clothing shop, Human Interaction, and local ramen restaurant Inkfire Ramen Tapas & Bar.

405 Brewing Co. will host a going-away party, including a Skip-Bo tournament, from 4 to 10 p.m. Nov. 3 at 1716 Topeka Drive.
