The leading UK beer maker, Scottish & Newcastle Plc (S&N), announced on December 02 the appointment of Simon Ricketts (48) as Group Information Services Director, with effect from 1 December 2003. Simon was previously Chief Information Officer with Cadbury Schweppes plc, where he was responsible for developing and implementing a global information system strategy. He has also had senior roles with British Steel plc and Itnet plc. Simon will be a member of S&N's Executive Management Group and will report to Ian McHoul, Group Finance Director. S&N has also appointed Group Marketing and Group Operations Directors, details of these appointments will follow shortly.
