Ukrainian breweries increased beer production in January-July 2003 by 16 % - up to 10.22 million hectoliters versus the same period last year. In July 2003 Ukrainian beer makers brewed 1.971 million hl, which is 2.6 % more than in July last year. However, this is 6.1 % less than in June 2003.

In 2002 Ukrainian brewing plants increased beer production by 15.5 % - up to 14.644 million hl versus 2001.
