Japanese beer maker, Kirin Brewery, has posted good results for the first quarter 2003. Company’s operating profits jumped 179.4% to ¥9,973 million; sales increased 3.8% to ¥315,239 million. Net profits, meanwhile, reached ¥807 million against the loss of ¥238 million registered in the same period 2002. The company analysts are forecasting to register a net profit of ¥39 billion for the full year, which is in line with previous prognoses.
