USA, NV: Parlay 6 Brewing Company buys majority stake in Lead Dog Brewing Company
Brewery news

Parlay 6 Brewing Company has acquired a majority stake in Lead Dog Brewing Company, an award-winning Reno brewery known for fan-favorite beers and a community-driven taproom experience. The deal establishes a long-term partnership centered on collaboration, consistency and shared growth within the northern Nevada craft beer community, the Nevada Business Magazine reported on February 6.

With the transaction complete, Parlay 6 will manage the day-to-day operations of Lead Dog Brewing Company, while the original Lead Dog ownership team retains equity and remains actively involved in the brand’s long-term vision and direction.

As part of the alignment, Lead Dog beers will be produced alongside Parlay 6 brands at the Battle Born production facility, supporting efficient production while maintaining the quality and character each brand is known for.

Both breweries emphasized that taproom identities and guest experiences will remain unchanged. Each location will continue to reflect its established culture, community connection and atmosphere. Guests can expect to see Lead Dog, Parlay 6 and Battle Born beers available across both taprooms, with opportunities for collaboration while preserving what makes each brand distinct.

In distribution, Parlay 6 and Lead Dog will be represented together, strengthening their collective presence throughout Nevada while maintaining separate brand identities in the marketplace.

Ken Foster, co-founder and CEO of Parlay 6 Brewing Company, said the decision was driven by Lead Dog’s strong reputation in Reno and the opportunity to support long-term growth while protecting what the brand already does well.

“This partnership brings together teams that share a commitment to community, collaboration and treating people right,” said Foster. “With aligned leadership and shared values, both brands are positioned to grow while staying true to who they are.”

The alignment reflects a shared belief that strong culture and people-first businesses are foundational to great beer and great hospitality. Together, the teams look forward to a new chapter focused on long-term sustainability, creativity and proudly representing northern Nevada’s craft beer scene.
