USA, OH: Southern Tier Brewing Co. launches Cleveland brewpub

Southern Tier Brewing Co. opened its new Cleveland brewpub on September 4, Ohio.com reported.

The two-level brewery — there’s the street level and a basement — features a seven-barrel brewing system and brewer Jason Comeaux is excited about working on sours and barrel-aging there.

“It’s an opportunity to try some new cool things we haven’t done so much in the main brewery,” he said. “… I get to be a little weird and adventurous. It’s open-ended now with lots of possibilities.”

The brewpub is at 811 Prospect Ave. near Progressive Field and Quicken Loans Arena and right around the corner from the restaurant-rich East Fourth Street.

The brewing system hasn’t been fired up just yet — that’s a few weeks away, Comeaux said.
