E-Malt.com News article: Thailand: Brokers see a short time benefit from advertising ban for Thai Beverage
Brewery news

DBS posted a flat share-price standing of only 28 Singapore cents for Thai Beverage, Dow Jones Newswires commented November 15. It said that "the impending advertising ban on alcohol products coming into effect in December, may bode well for Thai Bev in the short term, as the market leader, since it would mean lower advertising expenses while effectively barring competitors from penetrating the market." The company posted a 5.5% rise in 3Q 2006 net profit to SG$62.9 million. Brokers "expect sales to be rosier in 4Q as the holiday season period approaches during the year end." They keep the ‘buy’ call with 32-cent target price.
