Cobra Beer Ltd (CBL) of the UK intends to expand its activities in India, India Business Insight Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge released October 10.

The company, in the near future, will sign three new bottling deals with independent brewers in India. CBL has planned a new marketing strategy with the launch of the King Cobra brand. After India and the UK, the company will invest in South Africa and other international markets. Cobra Beer is currently brewed in Rajasthan, under licence from CBL, by Mount Shivalik's Behror brewery.

The company plans to extend operations in the North, East and Southern parts of India. Cobra also owns the General Bilimoria brand of wines.
