Ukrainian brewers produced about 112 million litres of beer in March 2003, 33% up compared to February 2003 (84 million litres) and 7% up versus March 2002. The increase is connected with the growth of demand on beer. For the first quarter of the current year Ukraine produced about 284 million litres of beer with 2.7 million litres more then in the first quarter of 2002.
