41,000 t of Moldavian barley was contracted for export in July 2006, which was 25% higher than the last year’s figure in the same period, UkrAgroConsult released in its 32 (148) Black Sea Grain report for the week ended August 14. The average contract price for barley shipped in July totaled USD/t 92.93 (+USD/t 3.11). The ports of Odessa and Ilyichevsk were the main destinations for barley export shipments

Now the last hectares of winter barley are being harvested, whereas all peas have already been gathered in. The highest grain harvests are reported in farms of Brichen, Yaloven, and Floresht districts.
