Sun Interbrew Finance, a special-purpose vehicle of Sun Interbrew Limited in Russia, said August 17 it had started floating three-year bonds worth RUR4 billion (about US$148 million) on the Moscow Inter-Bank Currency Exchange (MICEX), RIA Novosti released August 17.

"The placement of Sun Interbrew Finance Series 02 unconvertible interest-bearing documentary bearer bonds, with mandatory centralized custody, has started," the MICEX said in a press release.

Bonds, with a nominal cost of RUR1,000 (about US$37) per bond, will be floated via public subscription at 100% of par value. Raiffeisenbank Austria is the bonds' seller on the MICEX, the press release said.

The bonds will mature August 13, 2009, the MICEX said.

SUN Interbrew Limited was set up in 1999 after a merger of InBev brewery and the SUN group. In Russia, the company sells famous foreign beers such as Stella, Beck's and Staropramen, as well as popular Russian varieties like Klinskoye, Sibirskaya Korona and Tolstyak. It also sells Stella, Beck's, Chernigovskoye, Rogan and Taller in Ukraine.
