Brewery news

Appeals against the resolution to squeeze out minority shareholders that was adopted on the 27th January 2005 at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Holsten-Brauerei AG have been abandoned in the light of the settlement reached before the Higher Regional Court of Hamburg, the company released beginning of July. It was agreed to pay the difference of EUR1.10 on the cash bid of EUR38.00 for each no-par value share.

Now that registration has been made in the Commercial Register, the minority shareholders who still held 1.86% in the company have finally been squeezed out. The resolution to remove minority holdings was adopted at the extraordinary General Meeting at the demand of the principal shareholder, Carlsberg Deutschland GmbH, Mönchengladbach.
