E-Malt.com News article: USA: Specialty beer business growing in Wisconsin
Brewery news

Overall beer production fell flat in Wisconsin last year, but the craft brewing business is booming.

The New Glarus Brewing Company had the strongest growth in the specialty beer business with production up 52 % last year, The Associated Press posted on March 13. That's according to new figures from the Wisconsin Beer Distributors.

The Green County brewer is pursuing a new 10 (m) million dollar facility on the south edge of town.

Miller Brewing Company's production was up one percent from 2004, while Pabst Brewing Company was down about eight percent.

Capital Brewery in Middleton, Joseph Huber Brewing in Monroe and Sandcreek Brewing of Black River Falls all saw increases.
