United Kingdom: St Austell Brewery is to launch a new beer to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar. Admiral’s Ale will be on sale in the regional brewer’s estate throughout the summer and through to October when Lord Nelson’s victory will be officially commemorated The Publican posted on April 5.

One of the Cornwall brewer’s pubs, the Blue Anchor at Fraddon, was the first recorded inn that the King’s messenger stopped at for refreshment on his journey from Cornwall to London. As a result St Austell felt that it had to get involved. James Staughton, the brewer’s managing director, said: “With Cornwall playing such an important role, we felt that it was only right that St Austell Brewery took part in the anniversary celebrations.”
