Brewery news

Roadhouse Brewing Co and Melvin Brewing, two award-winning Wyoming breweries, are thrilled to announce their new parent company, Pure Madness Brewery Group.

This announcement comes on the heels of Roadhouse’s recent purchase of Melvin and its Alpine, WY production facility and tap room. Both breweries have been staples in the state for over a decade, and Pure Madness Brewery Group will combine these two distinct brands into one unified organization.

“The Pure Madness Brewery Group name came from those who have called us mad over the years—but this idea of being ‘mad’ has grown to really represent our approach to brewing and embodies our creativity,” says president of Melvin Brewing’s Board of Directors Zander Doroski.

Colby Cox, co-founder of Roadhouse Brewing Co, adds, “The slogan for Melvin Brewing Company is ‘if your beer is not madness, it’s not beer,’ and for Roadhouse, ‘Live Deep’ represents getting beneath the surface in everything we do. You get pure madness by combining these two companies and their mantras.”

The combination of both breweries, located only 35 miles apart, will produce 50,000 barrels in 2023 and will have the ability to grow to 80,000 barrels in the coming years with new investments that Roadhouse plans to make. Among those are a state-of-the-art rotary canning line, and the expansion of the Melvin Tap Room in Alpine, WY.

“Under the new parent company, Pure Madness Brewery Group will be the largest in Wyoming, which is incredible to think about for two breweries that started off in a garage not too long ago,” says Colby Cox, co-founder of Roadhouse Brewery Group. “While both organizations will be under one parent company, both brands will keep their identities but will gain benefits like shared staffing and ingredients.”

Closes Cox, “We plan to achieve a lot together and look forward to sustained growth and expanding Roadhouse’s B Corp status into Melvin Brewing Company.

Roadhouse completed their acquisition on Thursday, December 22nd, 2022. Pure Madness Brewery Group will be among the top-100 Craft Breweries in the United States.
