Canada, Waterloo: Brick Brewing Co. Limited announced on December 15 it will be sampling free beer and selling a limited number of collectable bottles in the local Waterloo area. Brick is celebrating 20 years of being the first craft brewery in Eastern Canada, which at the time signalled the launch of the present-day craft beer renaissance. Jim Brickman, Chairman, Founder and Beer Pioneer of Brick Brewery Co. Limited, opened his doors on December 18, 1984 because he couldn't find a beer he liked. It also happened to be his birthday. "20 years of brewing beer seems like only yesterday" said Jim. "Now we have a chance to celebrate in a big way with all our loyal customers" he added.

Brick Brewing Co. Limited was founded by Jim Brickman in 1984 and was the first craft brewery to start up in Ontario in recent decades. Brick Beers are all-natural, contain no additives or preservatives and are reassuringly craft brewed to deliver a variety of refreshing tastes. Brick is credited as being one of the pioneers of the present day beer renaissance in Canada and is home to Canada's famous stubby beer bottle. Brick trades on the TSX under the symbol BRB.
