China: Dutch brewing giant, Heineken, expects its beer production in China to outpace its forecast for total market growth of 4-6 % per year in the coming years, the head of its Chinese unit said on December 9. "We expect the overall Chinese beer market to grown 4-6 % per year in the coming years. That means the growth will be some 12-15 million hl... We are growing faster than the market," said Ric Linck, head of Heineken's China unit. Linck also said the brewer was considering brewing its Heineken brand in China for other Asian markets.
