China, Beijing: Beijing Yanjing Beer Group Corp. announced on November 5 it intends to make an investment of CNY 380 million (US$46.0 million) in three production bases with its three subsidiaries in other cities. Asiaport Daily News said the three production bases, with an annual production capacity of 100,000 tonnes of beer, are respectively located in Xiantao City of Hubei Province, Fuzhou City of Jiangxi Province and Yulin City of Guangxi Province. The three cities all have convenient transportation and great market potentials.

Yanjing Beer has started expansion outside Beijing market since 1999. It has successively swallowed 15 beer makers in Jiangxi, Hunan, Hubei, and Shandong Provinces. Yanjing Beer's subsidiaries outside Beijing obtained great achievements in 2003. Their production and sales accounted for 63.81 percent of the total volume, the sales amounted to 57.45 percent, and tax profits accounted for 52.72 percent.
