Ontario Beverage Network reports that a new farm-based brewery opened last weekend in Simcoe, Ontario.

Charlotteville Brewing has been founded by hop farmers Melanie Doerksen and Tim Wilson, and is located on their 41 acre hops and grain farm at 1207 Charlotteville West Quarter Line.

The brewery opened for bottle sales last weekend, with three brands available – Hopsy Dazey IPA, Velvet Devil Oatmeal Stout, and Charlotteville 519 APA. A taproom with patio and kitchen is planned to follow soon.
