Brewery news

Six Row Brewing Company released the following statement on June 6: "Six Row Brewing Company will be closing its operations at 3690 Forest Park Ave., St. Louis, on June 6 in anticipation of making a move. After operating for more than five years at the historic Falstaff Plant No. 1, in St. Louis, the company has decided to pursue a change of venue."

Head brewer and co-owner Evan Hiatt wasn't immediately available for comment, but an employee at Six Row confirmed the news.

While the taproom is closing, Hiatt said there will be "future plans for the brewery."

Six Row opened in December 2009 at 3690 Forest Park Avenue, St. Louis.

The brewery celebrated its fifth anniversary last December.

"It's been a wild ride," Hiatt said at that time. "The (craft-beer) landscape has changed dramatically.”
