USA: The US subsidiary of Cobra Beer is to launch the company’s export brand Krait into the US market. The company says it will target the premium import segment to compete directly with international brands such as Corona, Heineken & Bass. Krait Beer is available in California, New Jersey and New York in 330ml/11.2oz and 660ml/1 pint/6 fl. oz bottles.

“We are extremely excited about Krait’s entry into the US beer market. This is a significant step in growing worldwide operations and establishing the Cobra brand as a competitive, global beer brand,” said Karan Bilimoria, founder and chief executive of Cobra Beer.

“Breaking into the US market is a challenge that we look forward to, and are confident that we will grow our brand among those consumers who have been yearning for a unique super premium beer.”

Krait is being brewed at Poland’s Browar Belgia, part of Belgium’s Palm Breweries. Browar Belgia has already been brewing Cobra for the worldwide and export markets in both bottles and cans.
