The PEI Beer Guy blog reported on August 5 that Gahan House, the brewpub arm of Prince Edward Island Brewing, will soon be opening a second location across the bridge in Halifax.

The expansion was first mentioned on the Gahan House Twitter feed and Facebook page last week, although no exact location was noted at the time. PEI Beer Guy subsequently investigated and confirmed that the pub will be located in the waterfront space that most recently housed The Hart & Thistle, a brewpub that closed down earlier this year after almost five years in business.

According to job listings that have been posted on Gahan House’s social media accounts in the last couple of days, the Halifax location is expected to open next month.
