Scottish & Newcastle has recently announced that non-executive director Neville Isdell would resign with effect from 31 May, 2004, following the announcement of his appointment as chairman and chief executive officer-elect at Coca-Cola. The move had been expected following the high-profile appointment of Isdell to the American soft drinks giant. Sir Brian Stewart, the brewer’s chairman, said: "S&N has greatly valued Neville’s knowledge and experience of international drinks markets and we thank him for his contribution to the development of the group and wish him well in his new role." On Friday, S&N announced a shake-up of its management team to help push its drive into foreign markets such as Russia.
