Brewery news

The Atlantic Canada Beer Blog reported on June 2 that Schoolhouse Brewery, Nova Scotia’s newest craft brewery, will be offering its first beers to the public at two pubs in Falmouth later this week.

In the works since last summer, Schoolhouse Brewery was founded by longtime homebrewer Cameron Hartley, and is located in a more than 150-year-old historic schoolhouse building where Hartley also lives with his wife and daughter.

The first two beers from Schoolhouse – Principal Ale, a 5% abv unfiltered and dry-hopped pale ale; and Chequers Ale, a 4.5% abv robust porter – will go on tap at the Library Pub in Wolfville on Friday, June 6th, and at the Spitfire Arms in Windsor on Saturday, June 7th.
