Brewery news

The Atlantic Canada Beer Blog reported on April 17 that Big Axe Brewery has opened for business in Nackawic, NB, a small town on the Saint John River west of Fredericton.

Founded by Peter and Tatiana Cole – owners of the co-located Big Axe Bed & Breakfast – with partners Simon and Michelle Popowich, the brewery was approved by the ANBL to start sales on Tuesday April 15th, and immediately launched on-site growler sales for its first two brands, Chantarelle Cream Ale and Double Bit IPA.

Big Axe beers will also be served to guests at the bed & breakfast, and will be on tap soon at the King Street Alehouse in Fredericton and other local bars and restaurants.
