Brewery news

According to data by the National Statistics Committee, Kyrgyzstan’s beer output increased by 8% to 218.6 thousand hl last year, Vb.kg reported on April, 18.

Beer remains the most demanded alcoholic drink in the country for the last several years.

Kyrgyzstan is ranked among the top 10 ‘not-drinking’ nations in Europe and Central Asia, consuming just over 5 litres per capita annually, whereas the world’s average is 6.1 litres. In 2012, it was ranked 41th out of 48 countries in terms of alcohol consumption per capita.
