Russian brewery Bravo which holds a market share of 17% in the area of St. Petersburg and possessing a capacity of 5 mln hectoliters, has been recently acquired by the Dutch brewer Heineken.

This is a profitable affair for Heineken, which has bought 100% of Bravo’s stock, as it gives Heineken the privilege to benefit from popular and well appreciated beer brands and because it offers the Dutch brewer the significant possibility to produce Heineken beer in Russia, without having to bear the exorbitant Russian import duties.
