Brewery news

The Fargo Beer Co. is close to being able to brew in the city it's named for, AP reported on December, 23.

The Fargo City Commission accepted and filed an ordinance this month that establishes a new kind of brewing license in Fargo.

The Fargo Forum reports that the license will allow Fargo Beer Co. to buy land to build a brewery. The company now brews its bubbly at Sand Creek Brewery in Black River Falls, Wis. The product is then shipped into this area and sold at taverns across Fargo-Moorhead.

One of the company's partners, Aaron Hill, says he hopes to announce soon where the brewery will be located.
