Brewery news

A bit more than a year since it launched with a beer produced at Guelph’s Wellington Brewery under contract, Junction Craft Brewing has opened its own brewing facility in the Toronto neighbourhood it was named after, Canadian Beer News reported on December, 17.

The facility includes a tasting room, retail store, and a 3 hectolitre brewhouse where brewmaster Doug Pengelly will create a variety of beers to be sold on-site.

The brewery opened on December, 13 with three new beers available – Station Master Stout, English Brown Ale and Extra Pale Ale – along with Junction’s flagship brand, Conductor’s Craft Ale, which will continue to be brewed at Wellington in order to meet demand.

Take-home sales are limited to 2 litre growlers for now, but 500 ml bottles will be available early in 2013.
