E-Malt.com News article: Canada, AB: Big Rock Brewery to launch the Alchemist Edition

Big Rock Brewery announced on October, 2 the upcoming launch of the Alchemist Edition, a new series of “ultra-premium and rare” beers that will be available in “intensely limited quantities.”

Big Rock brewmaster Paul Gautreau says, “I am proud of all the beers we have in our line-up today but I feel a stronger, personal tie to the creations in the Alchemist Edition. This is an opportunity for me to put a twist on less traditional beer styles and give the consumer the opportunity to experience products they normally won’t find in this region. I also have a chance to experiment with unique ingredients and unusual brewing techniques and have a lot of fun at the same time.”

The style and other information about the first beer in the Alchemist Edition series have yet to be announced, but more details should be available closer to the October 10th release date.
