Brewery news

Natty Greene's Brewing Co. announced on August, 17 the limited release of Natty's Big Butt Smoked Porter which was brewed using Mac's Speed Shop's smoker to smoke Vienna malts.

Both Natty Greene's brewpubs in Raleigh and Greensboro and 3 Mac's locations will tap the beer simultaneously at 6pm on August, 23. Each location will only receive one keg which is expected to go fast.

Founded in 2004 by Chris Lester and Kayne Fisher, Natty Greene's Brewing Co. found such a warm welcome in Greensboro, NC, that it was soon necessary to expand production to provide beer for the entire state. Now with a production facility in Greensboro, a brewpub in Greensboro and another brewpub in Raleigh, they are able to reach their fans with what they lovingly refer to as the "common man's drink". The core beers are Buckshot Amber Ale, Guilford Golden Ale, and Southern Pale ale. The experimental brews are released as seasonals, like the current Freedom IPA, cellar series, and also a rotating selection of 12 beers at the pubs.
