Brewery news

New Belgium Brewing Co. continues its expansion across the U.S. this week by announcing it will expand its distribution to Michigan, The Coloradoan reported on August, 15.

The Fort Collins-based brewery announced it will make available 22-ounce bottles of Fat Tire, Ranger IPA, Trippel, Shift and Red Hoptober, as well as Lips of Faith offerings Super IPA and Biere de Mars on August, 27 in Michigan.

Michigan makes 29 states and the District of Columbia that New Belgium’s beers are available. New Belgium is working with 22 Michigan distributors to distribute its beer.

“Michigan has already been a great partner with a broad network of breweries, distributors and beer lovers,” said Bryan Simpson, New Belgium’s spokesman. “Working with Brewery Vivant has been a great way to meet and work with local brewers while making something new and unique for both breweries.”

In 2011, New Belgium expanded its distribution into Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. The brewery is also in the process of building a new brewery on the east coast in Asheville, N.C.
