Kichesippi Beer Co. announced on August, 14 the launch of a new series of limited edition beers, the first of which is being released this week as part of National Capital Craft Beer Week.

The Kichesippi Family Beer Series will feature unique beers named after relatives of brewery owners Paul and Kelly Meek. The first beer in the series is Uncle Mark’s Hopfen Weisse, named after Kelly’s brother Mark in honour of his 50th birthday this month.

Uncle Mark’s Hopfen Weisse will be available in growlers at the Kichesippi retail store starting August, 15, and it will also be served at the National Craft Beer Festival. It will remain available while supplies last, and will return again sometime in the summer of 2013 along with a second beer in the series.
