Brewery news

Burnside Brewing releases its first specialty barrel-aged beer in bottles, The Full Pint reported on February, 24.

Neptune’s Wrath is a beer over a year in the making.

Neptune’s Wrath is a Strong Ale brewed with 18 gallons of Hama Hama oyster liquor and 4 pounds Lemon peel. Half of this batch of beer was taken and aged it in Cristom Pinot noir barrels. After 6 months on oak it was back blended with the non barrel aged half.

Packaged in Magnum sized (1.5 litres or 51oz) and limited to only 100 hand numbered green glass bottles with a wraparound label Neptune’s Wrath is expected to cellar well. Bottles go on sale at the pub for $30.
