Brewery news

Austin-based Jester King Craft Brewery has recalled the bottles of Commercial Suicide, an English Dark Mild Ale with 3.3% ABV, from retailers and advised consumers to return bottles to their retailer or brewery, Drinks Business Review reported on December, 27.

Jester King is currently working on a Farmhouse version to replace the over carbonated batch, which is expected to have ready this spring.

The company will replace any unopened bottles that are returned to the brewery with fresh bottles of one of its other beers of equal or higher retail value.

A few weeks ago, the company has posted an issue about the Commercial Suicide bottles continuing to ferment beyond the projected finishing point, and becoming over carbonated as a result.

The company has recalled the beer as the fermentation has continued to a point where bottles may now be showing significant signs of leakage and may overflow extensively upon opening.

Jester King's portfolio includes Noble King Hoppy Farmhouse Ale, Farmhouse Wytchmaker Rye India Pale Ale, Black Metal Imperial Stout, Commercial Suicide Dark Mild, and Das Wunderkind! Sour Saison, Boxer's Revenge Barrel-Aged Wild Ale, Wytchmaker Rye India Pale Ale, Black Metal Imperial Stout, Commercial Suicide Oaked Dark Mild, Drink'in the Sunbelt Hoppy Wheat Beer.
