Brewery news

Anheuser-Busch InBev will invest $34 million in its Cartersville, Ga., brewery, including environmental upgrades that could make the 900,000-square-foot plant one of greenest in the company’s global operations, Atlanta Business Chronicle reported on October, 14.

The project is part of more than $1 billion Anheuser-Busch InBev SA will invest in its breweries and other facilities.

The 18-year-old Cartersville brewery already conserves more water than any of the 137 Anheuser-Busch plants across the world, and the new investment aims to improve that level of sustainability and reduce fuel and electricity consumption, said Rob Haas, the brewery’s general manager.
