Brewery news

O'so Brewing Company will more than double its space when the brewery moves into a larger facility at 3028 Village Park Drive, Plover, in September, Central Wisconsin Business reported on July, 30.

Construction has started for a new 11,000-square-foot home that has been leased for the business. The brewery will move from its current 4,000-square-foot leased site at 1812 Post Road.

According to Marc Buttera, who owns the business with his wife, Katina, they have set a "pretty lofty goal" of having their brew shop open in early September, followed with the brewery opening by October.

Katina Buttera said both sites will be open for three months so production will not be affected.

The expansion will allow the company to create seven new jobs over three years. Some will be immediate, such as general laborers and a salesman who will travel around the state. The company also is working on an expanded website.

The new location will address the increased demand for O'so Brewing products since the company started three and a half years ago. After producing just 350 barrels in 2008, the company has bought new tanks, which will allow it to double its production immediately, with a goal of producing 5,000 barrels a year.
