Barley news

Ukraine will possibly impose limitations for grain exports due to the increase of the customs duties and to control prices on the domestic market, Agrimarket.info reported on June, 16.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine may impose quotas for exports of barley in the summer of 2011, due reduced sowing areas of barley and droughts in the Northern Hemisphere, which will reduce harvest volumes, said analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.

According to some experts, the Cabinet of Ministers also can impose quotas or raise export duties on milling wheat, depending on the production volumes in 2011. At the same time, the Government will not make limitations on the exports of maize.
