Unofficial national brewer production estimate indicates a decrease of 4.1% in taxable removals of 12,600,000 barrels in February 2011 compared to 13,145,000 barrels in February 2011, Beer Institute reports.

Domestic taxable removals (also known as Tax Paid Removals) measure the amount of beer shipped from domestic brewers to distributors within the U.S. market.

The United States Department of Commerce reports total imports of malt beverages from all countries for the month of January 2011 increased11.3% to 1,917,107 compared to the same month last year.
