Japanese brewer Kirin has completed its portfolio, by purchasing a 15% stake from San Miguel, a beverage and food group from Philippines. This acquisition (that cost US$540mln), diminished the influence of the San Miguel’s president and the Philippine government on the company’s stock as their stakes decreased to 18 % and respectively to 38,6% .
