E-Malt.com News article: France: Strong beer sees higher demand in supermarkets in 2010

Sales of strong beer in French hyper- and supermarkets increased by 10-15% in 2010, Rayon Boissons reported on March, 10.

Such national brands as Bavaria 8.6 and Amsterdam saw a 10% increase in sales last year, whereas demand for Gordon Finest, launched in 2009, surged by 57%.

Sales of imported strong beers enjoyed an even more significant growth last year, it is reported.
