E-Malt.com News article: Singapore: APB announces new changes in its senior management team

Asia Pacific Breweries Ltd announced on December, 31 that Mr Royston Loh will assume the position of General Manager, Tiger Export Pte Ltd (TEPL) with effect from 1 January 2011.

In his new role, Mr Loh is responsible for developing new export markets for Tiger as well as other APB brands such as Baron's Strong Brew and Anchor. He also oversees the marketing, sales and distribution of Tiger beer in export markets that spread across six continents, the company said.

In the last two years, Mr Loh was instrumental in the sale of APB beer brands in Singapore. Prior to that, he was based in China where he was responsible for driving sales and marketing activities and setting up sales channels for beer brands including Tiger and Heineken in the northern region. Prior to that, he held various sales and commercial management roles.

Mr Loh succeeds Mr Ong Chui Seng, who has been transferred to Tiger Beer USA Co Inc (TUSA).

Mr Ong Chui Seng has been appointed to the position of Vice President, TUSA and will relinquish his operational responsibilities as General Manager, TEPL, APB said. He will henceforth be focusing on steering the growth and progression of Tiger beer in the US beer market.

Mr Ong has been with APB since 1994. Prior to his two-year stint as General Manager of TEPL, he spent four years developing the Tiger beer brand in North America and Canada. Before that, Mr Ong pioneered the launch of Tiger in the UK and European markets where it has become one of the most-loved Asian beer brands in UK today. During his initial years with APB, he was involved in the successful sale and marketing of APB's beer brands and launch of Baron's Strong Brew in Singapore.
