“Only 7% of Interbrew’s sales take place in Belgium,” the Chairman of Interbrew, Pierre Jean Everaert, said and explained the need to have foreigners on its board. Interbrew has the American John Brock as CEO and the French Francois Jaclot as CFO. Even Pierre Jean Everaert is American. The comments by Pierre Jean Everaert were made in La Libre Belgique. However, Everaert also said that the company intends to remain family-controlled and wants a high-ranking Belgian to join the board.
