Interbrew made an important step for the consolidation of its standing in Cuba by signing a significant agreement with the Cuban government. In compliance with this agreement, the Belgian giant is to make important investments into its affiliated company Cerveceria Bucanero S.A.

Interbrew will, also , essentially contribute to the development of a beer distribution infrastructure in Cuba and will build a new brewery with a capacity of 1,5 mln hectoliters.

The decision to reinforce its positions on Cuban beer market was made on the basis of positive forecasts stating that the beer market from Cuba will grow considerably by 2010 due to the continuous economic growth of this country .
