E-Malt.com News article: Denmark: Royal Unibrew’s board chairman to step down
Brewery news

Denmark’s second-largest brewer Royal Unibrew said on March, 30 Steen Weirsøe, its board chairman, will step down.

Managing director Søren Eriksen will take over as the new chairman on 27 April at Royal Unibrew’s annual general meeting, the company said.

According to Business.dk, Weirsøe’s period as chairman was ‘hectic’ with the company ‘struggling with dangerously high debt which has been reduced in recent quarters’.

For the annual general meeting the board of directors has proposed the re-election of members Tommy Pedersen, Ulrik Bülow, Erik Højsholt and Hemming Van.
