South African Breweries (SAB) are going to set up a brewing venture in China's Sichuan province. SAB will own 62% and the rest will be held by local brewer Blue Sword. The joint venture will own 12 breweries and will produce 6m hl of beer per year. The joint venture will become the China’s second largest brewer after Tsingtao Brewery.
