Sun Interbrew will hold not less than 34% of the Ukrainian beer market by the end of 2003, according to the company’s forecasts. The company’s General Director, Ludmila Nakonechnaya, said Sun Interbrew-Ukraine held 33% of the Ukranian beer market by the end of August. Last year it controlled 32% of that market (30.9% according to Ukrpivo’s estimations). L. Nakonechnaya noticed that this year Sun Interbrew-Ukraine will sell about 5.3 million hl of beer in Ukraine and 0.2 million hl abroad to Russia, Moldova and Belarus.

Sun Interbrew is optimistic regarding Ukrainian beer market. It forecasted the market would increase by 14% up to 15.3 million hl. The company said next year the market will continue to increase that is why it doesn’t intend to diminish the investments in Ukraine.
