Bulgarian units of both Anheuser-Busch InBev and Heineken got new general managers this month.

AB InBev’s subsidiary, the Plovdiv-based brewer Kamenitza, appointed Dragan Radovoevic its new general manager. As of April, Radovoevic took over from Anatolii Popov, who went back to Russia to become commercial director of AB InBev’s Russian unit, SUN InBev.

Radovoevic joined InBev in 2006 and has previously been financial manager of Coca-Cola for Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. Popov was appointed general manager of Kamenitza in July 2007 and spearheaded the introduction of InBev’s commercial activities, financial discipline and cost management programmes and standards.

Operating two breweries and one malt plant, Kamenitza has a portfolio of eight beer brands including Kamenitza and Stella Artois, Becks and Staropramen, which it markets under licencing agreements.

The newly appointed general manager of Heineken’s Zagorka SA is Ruud van den Eijnden, who formally took up this role as of April 1st 2009 succeeding Jan Derck van Karnebeek. The latter is appointed as General Manager of Heineken Romania as from March.

Ruud van den Eijnden started his career at Heineken Netherlands as a management trainee in 1994.
